May 25 is Africa Day, the official day of the African Union. It is an opportunity to celebrate African diversity and success. This year Irish people will join Africans around the world in highlighting the cultural and life of the African continent.
The Irish highlight will be the African Village Family Day in Dublin Castle on May 25 featuring Mundy, Kíla, and special appearances from Republic of Loose and Sinéad O' Connor, The Discovery Gospel Choir, The Gardiner Street Gospel Choir and Many other top African and Irish artistes. The day will also feature kids areas, African Art and Artifacts Exhibition, Dance Troupes, Workshops, Readings, Dance, Performance, Sports and Carnival Activities, Picnic area, and African foods.
